The exhibition will consist of works from the collections of AAWR and ARTneo, emphasizing Butniks ability to capture the feeling of the landscape throughout his career in a variety of styles. From his early landscapes painted during World War II, to his sketches from his European travels and his large abstract canvases, Butnik referenced both physical journeys as well as psychological and transcendental explorations. Samuel Butniks work was, in his own words, a realization of new experiences.
